My Story

Cristin Marie Taft was born in Katy, Texas on May 29, 1983. After three years, and numerous moves within Texas due to her parent's work, her family moved to her mother's hometown in Quakertown, PA.

Her father was a mining engineer and her mother, Carla, began her career as a mining engineer, then accountant, then finally a middle school earth & space science teacher. In 2000, her mother lost a 2 year battle with breast cancer when Cristin was only 16 years old.

Growing up, the family moved to often and she changed schools five separate times between public and private education before they moved to the area she still calls home. That home has been in the family since 1924. Because of this, Cristin often found solace in worlds made of stories. She was often seen carrying around books and in school, she and her friends would discuss the latest book over coffee at the local diners.

In 2005, she graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor of science degree in Geosciences, emphasis in Geophysics and Geological Engineering. Cristin worked for several years in the corporate world of geology and cartography in Eastern PA before becoming a stay at home mother to her three children and homeschooling them for four years. In 2020, she moved back to Quakertown after her divorce, while the children split time between their dad's home and her own, continuing to homeschool and oversee their education.

While volunteering with a local nonprofit group, Rest Connection, she met her husband Brian who she married on what would have been her mother's birthday in 2024. She became secretary of St. Isidore Parish in 2022 and began in earnest to complete her first book which was first published in 2024.

She is currently working on her next self-help book as well as her fictional tale that will become The Paladin and the Muse novels. In her spare time, she enjoys crocheting, needle point, hiking, and enjoying sunrises while sipping on coffee and reading devotionals.

The Mission

The Enchanted Keystone initially started when Cristin was part of a direct sales company. After realizing as much as she loved the products, the direction she needed to take was on her own path. She still loves the products she sold, but her dreams laid elsewhere.

A keystone is vital to any archway. It's the top stone that hold all the other's up.
